FORGIVENESS AND GRACE

Updated: Jun 16

Forgiveness is something that never comes easy, especially when a trust has been broken and we are left broke hearted. It is not easy to move on but that does not mean it is impossible either. Before we are quick to point the finger at those who have hurt us in some way let us focus on the forgiveness of God towards us. The Bible informs us we have all fallen (Romans 3:21-26). Confessing our sins, acknowledging where we are at fault or wrong and doing something about it is important. What good is it if we just know but do not do anything about it? It benefits no one. (1 John 9-10) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (Ephesians 1:7) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. How great to know that the Lord does not bring up our past, that what we have done in the past stays there unless of course we engage in it again (2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (Psalm 103:12) As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
